2m RES Electric | GlidproX kit
From the designers of the Encanto, the X-Flow is the next generation 2m RES airframe. The excellent wing from the Encanto remains; the airfoil, planform and area stay the same. The fuselage, tail, and spoilers are all new.
It launches higher, circles tighter, and lands slower.
Wing options:
Camber — light air and weak lift. Flying weight from 440 g. Ballast up to 50 g.
Standard — the everyday wing. More range in breeze and when you are moving between lift. Flying weight from 480 g. Ballast up to 150 g.
In the kit:
Laser-cut balsa and ply parts, carbon tubes for spars, leading edges, and tail boom. Full-size plans. Ballast set, PTFE tubes, wires, cables, connectors, and hinge tape.
Specs
Wingspan 1990 mm
Length 1350 mm
Wing area 35.6 dm²
Total surface 40.16 dm²
Airfoil JK 9372
Recommended setup (needed to complete):
Rudder/Elevator Servos - 2x KST X06
Spoiler Servos - 2x KST X06H
Motor - Dualsky XM2527EG-16 (2300KV)
ESC - Dualsky SUMMIT 30Slim.U8
Prop and Spinner - 7×4 folding prop on 25mm diameter spinner
Battery - 3s 500-700mAh
New Tail Design
A new bottom mount elevator, and a new fin and rudder that also extend below the fuselage, keeps the tail clear of the wing’s wake, increasing stability and control.
Electric Fuselage
The X-Flow F5L version uses a cleanly designed electric fuselage supporting motors up to 25mm diameter.
New Airbrakes
The spoilers have been increased in size and moved slightly outboard to further clean up the air flowing to the tail.
Two Piece Wing
The two-piece wing and removeable tail make transportation easy.
Ballast Included
Ballast boxes are built into the wing, and every kit includes a ballast kit.
Meet the Designers
Karol Chyba and Jan Littva design, build, and fly the GlidproX line in Slovakia. Karol came to RES from F5J and worked through the earlier airframes, starting with the Moana, before he asked Jan to help develop the next model. Jan had spent 2 decades in F3J, including the 2014 individual world title and second at the Worlds in 2012 and 2016. They started together designing the Vaiana Sport in 2021, and then the Encanto.
After seasons of flying the Encanto against the top gliders in the world, they took what they learned, kept what was working, and refined the design to have even better stability and handling. The X-Flow is their next generation 2m RES airframe.
